Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging at O’Shea

Encouraging diversity and inclusion in the industry

At O’Shea Builders, we believe our job sites should reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.

Because of this, we want to elevate opportunities for all. That means working to address barriers such as the expense of training and education, bias, and lack of career support to reverse the shortage of minority representation.

The Minority Trades Network is a one-of-a-kind initiative facilitated by O'Shea Builders that connects members of the minority community with rewarding career opportunities in the construction industry.

Since the program started in 2020, 67 people have graduated from the program – 32 have entered a union trade. Learn more about the Minority Trades Network here

Terrence "TAT" Taylor of TAT Incorporated interviews participants and leaders of the Minority Trades Network in this series, "Chat with TAT." See all Chat with TAT videos here!

Mentor-Protégé Program

Through O’Shea Builders’ Mentor-Protégé program, the O’Shea team works alongside owners of minority-owned, construction-related businesses to help them position their businesses for success.
